Forex4you (now Markets4you, part of E-Global Trade & Finance Group, operating since 2007, FSC BVI licence) draws new traders with a Cent account you can open from ~1 USD and the Share4you copy trading system.

Not found in the two registers that can be searched, its paperwork sits in small markets

The ASIC and CySEC registers on 19/08/2026 both contain no entry under the name Forex4you.

The broker states a licence in the British Virgin Islands. That is a far lighter licensing regime than ASIC or CySEC on minimum capital, on the duty to segregate client money, and on the compensation mechanism if the company collapses.

The point that matters for readers is not "a small licence is bad", but this: if there is a dispute, which body do you complain to, and what tools does that body have.

With a licence in a small market, both your ability to check for yourself and your ability to get money back are thinner. Factor that in before you deposit, rather than waiting until you need to withdraw to ask.

Forex4you (Markets4you) profile in brief

In short, Forex4you (now Markets4you): the broker has run since 2007 and shows no signs of a scam model, but all of its paperwork sits in the BVI and Mauritius, two light-touch licensing regimes. The broker's name does not appear in either the ASIC or the CySEC register, which matches what the broker itself states.

So choosing Forex4you means accepting a trade-off: a very cheap way in, a Cent account from ~1 USD plus the Share4you copy trading system, in exchange for the thinnest legal safety net among the brokers I follow. Score on 6 criteria: 4.0/5.

Part of E-Global Trade & Finance Group, operating since 2007, headquartered in Tortola, BVI. Licences: FSC BVI (SIBA/L/12/1027) and FSC Mauritius.

Platforms: MT4, MT5 and Share4you, its own copy trading system, which the broker says has more than 1,000 signal providers. Spreads from 1.5 pips on the Classic account, lower on Pro. Way in: a Cent account from about 1 USD.

Not on the ASIC or CySEC registers, and what that tells you

Neither the ASIC (Australia) nor the CySEC (Cyprus) register has an entry under the name Forex4you.

This time it is not a case of a legal entity changing its name, as with a few other brokers; the broker simply does not claim either of those two licences. Its paperwork sits in the British Virgin Islands and Mauritius.

A BVI licence is far lighter than ASIC or CySEC in three specific places: minimum capital, the duty to segregate client money, and the compensation mechanism if the company collapses.

The practical question for you is not “is a small licence bad?”, but this: when there is a dispute, which body do you knock on, and what tools does that body have to get your money back.

With a licence in a small market, both your ability to check for yourself and your ability to recover money are thin. Factor that in before you deposit, rather than waiting until you need to withdraw to ask.

Regulation and safety: read the legal entity's name before anything else

Forex4you (Markets4you) sits under FSC BVI (SIBA/L/12/1027) and FSC Mauritius, with no Tier-1 layer above it. With multi-entity brokers, I usually tell you to check carefully which branch you fall under; at this broker every branch is offshore, so the question becomes: is the amount you plan to deposit proportionate to that level of protection.

To me, this is a place suited to testing with small money rather than a place to anchor large capital.

Costs: the 1.5 pip Classic spread is not cheap, and that is by design

Three account lines: Cent trades from 0.01 cent lot; Classic Standard runs a floating spread from 1.5 pips; Classic Pro has a lower spread for heavier traders.

1.5 pips on Classic is above the market average, no beating around the bush. This broker does not compete on fees, it competes on the 1 USD threshold, the number that lets anyone curious try it without a second thought.

If you have moved past the curious stage and started trading real volume, add up the spread converted to money plus every fee on the exact pair you trade, then compare with the ECN group of brokers; that calculation usually does not favour Forex4you.

Share4you: more than 1,000 people for you to copy, and what it costs

Share4you is the second reason people open an account here: pick a leader from more than 1,000 signal providers, the system automatically copies their trades into your account, and you pay a fee per copied trade.

Three things I want to say plainly before you follow anyone. One, the leaderboard shows the past, and the past promises nothing for next week.

Two, per-trade fees add up faster than you feel. Three, copying trades does not relieve you of responsibility for managing your capital; if the leader blows up, your account blows up with them, in exact proportion.

Deposits, withdrawals and bonuses: convenient channels, constantly changing conditions

Supported channels: domestic bank transfer, card, e-wallet, crypto. E-wallets and crypto arrive faster than bank transfers, and speed also depends on KYC, nothing unusual there.

What to be wary of is the bonus/cashback: the programme changes its conditions often, and bonus money is almost always tied to volume conditions. Read the full terms of the promotion running at the moment you plan to claim it, and do not rely on articles describing an old one.

The Bonus offers and Rebate Bonus area in a Forex4you account
Bonus/cashback programmes in the client area, always read the conditions carefully before accepting.

The balance sheet: why 4.0, not higher, not lower

On the plus side: a barrier of just 1 USD; Share4you with more than 1,000 signal sources; nearly twenty years of operation since 2007, a track record not every broker has; promotions/cashback run fairly regularly.

On the minus side: licences only in the BVI and Mauritius, with no FCA/ASIC/CySEC layer at all; the 1.5 pip Classic spread is above the market average; bonuses always come with volume conditions; and it is not licensed in Vietnam.

Is Forex4you (Markets4you) a scam?

There is no basis for calling this a scam model: the legal entity holds an FSC BVI licence (SIBA/L/12/1027) and an FSC Mauritius licence, and has operated continuously since 2007. A broker set up to take the money and run rarely survives nineteen years.

Negative complaints about the broker cluster around three sources familiar across the industry: not reading the account conditions in full (here mainly bonus conditions), high leverage burning accounts, and being asked for documents when withdrawing large amounts, the last of which is a compliance procedure.

But a distinction is needed: “not a scam” and “well protected” are two different statements, and with an all-offshore profile, the second one is weak here. The broker is not licensed in Vietnam, so you bear the responsibility yourself.

Who Forex4you suits, and who it does not

Suits: people who want to touch real orders with a few tens of thousands of dong, and people curious about copy trading who want to try Share4you with minimal risk. Does not suit: people planning to deposit significant capital, because the legal safety net is thin; fee hunters, because the 1.5 pip Classic is not for them.

The scenario I find sensible: practise here with Cent, and when you get serious with larger capital, move to a broker with a thicker regulatory layer.

Pros

  • Operating since 2007
  • Often runs bonus/cashback programmes
Cons
  • Offshore licences only (BVI, Mauritius), no Tier-1 (FCA/ASIC/CySEC)
  • Classic spread (from 1.5 pips) is above the market average
  • Bonuses always come with volume conditions, read them carefully before accepting

Check Forex4you (Markets4you) yourself before depositing a large amount

  1. Real cost. Open the price board on your own account at two different times of day, then add spread and commission into a cost per lot. The figure the broker publishes is an average; what you get on a given trade can be higher.
  2. Withdrawal speed. Withdraw a small amount first and note when you requested it and when the money arrived. Speed depends on the payment channel and your verification status, so there is no single figure.
  3. Legal entity. Read the company name in your account terms. That name decides where you can complain.
