Eightcap (founded 2009, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, licensed by ASIC/FCA/CySEC) stands out for low costs and direct trading on TradingView.

Licensed in two places, and both can be looked up under the real name

Register as of 19/08/2026:

RegisterNumberLegal entity
ASIC (Australia)AFS 391441Eightcap Pty Ltd · ABN 73 139 495 944 · since 29/04/2011
CySEC (Cyprus)CIF 246/14Eightcap EU Ltd

Two separate legal entities for two markets, both names match the brand, and the licence dates are three years apart. This is the easiest record to check yourself among the brokers with no office in Vietnam.

The familiar question still has to be asked: which legal entity do Vietnamese clients sign with? If it is neither Eightcap Pty Ltd nor Eightcap EU Ltd, the protection of the two licences above does not apply to you.

Eightcap in one paragraph

Eightcap is a broker with clean paperwork, and its record is among the easiest to check yourself in the group I follow: the legal entity carries the exact word “Eightcap”, a lookup finds it immediately, and there is no abbreviation or group name to trace.

That covers trust. The remaining question is about money: the real total cost of the Raw account, and whether you need integrated TradingView, because those are the two real reasons to choose this broker over another.

Score on the site's 6 criteria: 4.5/5.

Founded in 2009 in Melbourne, Australia. Licences: ASIC, FCA, CySEC, SCB. Platforms: MT4, MT5, TradingView, TradeLocker. Minimum deposit 100 USD. Two main account types: Raw (spreads from 0.0 pip plus commission) and Standard (spreads from ~1.0 pip, no commission). Its selling point to the market: low costs and trading straight on TradingView.

Eightcap licences: one lookup and it shows up, which is rare in the industry

I say “the easiest record to check yourself” for a reason. Many brokers hold their licences under a legal entity whose name is completely different from the brand, which makes people checking on their own think the broker is making false claims. Not Eightcap:

RegisterNumberLegal entity
ASIC (Australia)AFS 391441Eightcap Pty Ltd · ABN 73 139 495 944 · since 29/04/2011
CySEC (Cyprus)CIF 246/14Eightcap EU Ltd

Both registers state the word Eightcap outright. It takes you less than five minutes to confirm those two lines yourself, and you should do it before trusting any review.

With the paperwork clean, one question remains: which legal entity is your contract signed with? The broker has four licences (FCA in the UK and SCB in the Bahamas in addition to the two lines above), and your rights follow the exact legal entity in the contract, not the nice-looking list on the website.

Clients outside Australia and Europe are usually placed in a branch with thinner protection than ASIC or FCA, in exchange for looser leverage. Read the company name line in the terms before depositing.

This broker is one you can find by its brand name: typing "Eightcap" into the ASIC register returns the licence above. Of the 10 brokers with an ASIC licence that we track, only 4 work this way.

Eightcap trading costs: Raw is cheap, but add everything up

The fee structure has two tracks:

Raw: spreads from 0.0 pip, commission charged on each lot.

Standard: spreads from ~1.0 pip, no commission.

A 0.0 pip figure looks very pleasing, but it is not the final price. The right comparison is the total cost of one round-turn lot: the spread converted to money plus commission, calculated on the exact pair you trade most.

Once you do that, Raw usually still wins for frequent traders, while for occasional traders Standard is less fiddly.

What is worth noting about deposits and withdrawals at Eightcap

Supported channels: bank transfer, cards, e-wallets and crypto. Withdrawals are usually processed within the business day depending on the method; e-wallets and crypto arrive faster than the bank route.

Actual speed also depends on whether you have completed KYC, so finish verification from the start instead of waiting until you need to withdraw.

TradingView on Eightcap: the broker's main point of difference

MT4, MT5 and TradeLocker are all available, but what pulls users to Eightcap is TradingView: placing orders straight on the charting platform that you may already be using for your daily analysis.

If your workflow is drawing charts on TradingView and then opening MT5 to place the order, this broker cuts out exactly that annoying middle step. But if you live and die by EAs on MT4/MT5, this advantage means nothing to you.

Eightcap trading platforms
Eightcap supports MT4, MT5, TradingView and TradeLocker, and stands out for direct trading on TradingView.

Is Eightcap a scam?

It is not a scam model. The basis: the ASIC (391441) and CySEC (246/14) licences can be looked up in the registers, FCA and SCB are as declared by the broker, and seventeen years of operation since 2009.

Negative complaints about the broker mostly fall into three baskets familiar across the whole industry: not reading the account conditions carefully, using too much leverage and getting wiped out, and frustration at being asked for extra documents when withdrawing a large amount; the last one is a compliance procedure, not money being held back.

As for the legal situation in Vietnam, there is no exception: Eightcap is not licensed in Vietnam, and you trade at your own responsibility.

Who should use Eightcap, and who should not

Good fit: people who count every cent of trading costs, and people who want to place orders right on TradingView instead of switching back and forth between two programs.

Not a great fit: beginners who need a large Vietnamese-speaking community to ask questions, or people who want a very light starting capital; Eightcap's 100 USD is not high, but it is not the 5-10 USD level of some other brokers either. Beginners who still choose this broker should go step by step: small capital, low leverage, a trial run, and only then scale up.

Putting Eightcap next to IC Markets

Both of Australian origin, both playing the low-spread game, this is the most natural pair to compare:

Why is IC Markets the recommended column? The same low-spread strength on a Raw ECN model, and a clearly published commission (3.5 USD/lot per side). In return, Eightcap wins on integrated TradingView; on entry cost, IC Markets lists no minimum deposit while Eightcap asks 100 USD.

  • Multiple platforms: MT4, MT5, TradingView, TradeLocker

  • Not as widely used in Vietnam as some other brokers

Check Eightcap yourself before depositing a large amount

  1. Real cost. Open the price board on your own account at two different times of day, then add spread and commission into a cost per lot. The figure the broker publishes is an average; what you get on a given trade can be higher.
  2. Withdrawal speed. Withdraw a small amount first and note when you requested it and when the money arrived. Speed depends on the payment channel and your verification status, so there is no single figure.
  3. Legal entity. Read the company name in your account terms. That name decides where you can complain.
